Diablo 4 Season 15 will introduce a new Rebirth system that allows players to convert existing Eternal Realm characters into seasonal characters.
Using Rebirth will reset the selected character to level one and move them into the current seasonal realm. However, their name, class, appearance, total playtime, and cosmetic settings will remain unchanged.
Players will also keep selected pets, transmogs, mounts, portals, and headstones. Equipped items and inventory gear will not transfer, so Blizzard will display a warning before the process is completed.
Any valuable equipment can be moved into the Eternal Realm stash before activating Rebirth. The feature should help players reduce character clutter and continue using the same hero across multiple seasons.
Season 15 will also add returning items from earlier Diablo games, including the Stone of Jordan and Ring of Royal Grandeur. New activities will include challenge dungeons, open-world ambushes, and Soul Splinters that provide strong bonuses alongside significant disadvantages.
Blizzard is also preparing further changes to Mythic item crafting following player criticism of Season 14. Some Season 15 features will be available on the public test realm from August 4 to August 11, with the full season expected to begin in September 2026.
