The Nintendo Switch 2 version of 007 First Light may launch on September 16, 2026, according to a retail listing discovered on Amazon Japan.

The date appeared in the product details section of the listing, but neither developer IO Interactive nor the publisher has confirmed it. The information should therefore be treated as an unverified placeholder until an official announcement is made.

A September release would place the game in an increasingly crowded period. Control: Resonant, Marvel’s Wolverine, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword are also expected during the month as publishers position major titles ahead of GTA VI.

007 First Light was originally scheduled to arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 alongside the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S versions in March 2026. It was later moved to May before the Switch 2 edition received another delay to an unspecified date later in the summer.

The other versions launched earlier in 2026 and received strong reviews. The game presents an original James Bond origin story developed by IO Interactive, with Patrick Gibson portraying the younger agent.

Until IO Interactive confirms the date, September 16 remains speculation. An official update is expected to clarify when Nintendo Switch 2 players will finally receive the delayed edition.
